Omggggggg I love the pasta carbonara - so tasty on the lips. Love the vibe inside - exposed brick and pizza oven in the back. Best service in L a Jolla - the bartender Elizabeth is super nice and friendly. Love the pizza, pasta, wine and tiramisu!

Ok it's La Jolla !! You get two stars just for being here ! But honestly speaking the food is amazing. Our server JV was so on point, he could've been from Bella Roma !! . The pizza dough was made in heaven along with the Italian jamón with bitter greens . I also had the soup of the day . So we ate Al fresco right on the main drag Girard st so the ambiance was amazing. So if you have a few hours go down to the Beach city of La Jolla ca which means the Gem in Spanish. Manga my friends!!

Had a wonderful lunch meeting at Isola. The rigatoni with bolognese sauce was good but a tad bit in the salty side but flavorful and meaty. The pasta was al dente which I like better than over cooked but if you don't it's served al dente . The bowl was a good size portion for lunch or dinner. Our make server was pleasant and cordial but wish he would have checked on us more. Had to ask for water refill and the check. But food was served timely and nice ambiance. Will have pizza next time and come for happy hours...the specials looked great.

I stopped in here with my parents as our first stop on my mom's birthday food crawl. I've visited La Jolla for over 25 years during the summer to get away from the Arizona heat, but never ventured to this street. We ordered a few bottles of wine and had an appetizer. We ordered the Gamberetti Alla Diavola which was honestly so tasty. The dish was $18 and for the price, it was filled with shrimp. Our server brought us extra bread to soak up the delicious juice. He also brought us some of their special olive oil because of how good he said it was. He was correct. I didn't enter the interior of the restaurant, but the patio had a nice charm to it. Our server was very informative on items and made us feel welcomed. I will definetely be coming back to have a whole meal. I will give our experience a 8/10.

My husband and I had the best date night at Isola. We had reservations, but we arrived early so we grabbed a seat at the bar. We ended up getting so comfortable there that when they offered us our table, we said we'd stay at the bar instead. The bartender was fantastic. He allowed us to sample a few wines before choosing a bottle. No surprised- we went with a classic, Daou. The food was delicious and we enjoyed a Neapolitan style pizza and the rigatoni. Everything was perfect and we had such a great evening there!
